Giant Loop Klamath Tail Rack Pack

There’s always that small group of essentials you want within easy reach, tools, documents, snacks, or that extra layer you end up needing sooner than expected. That’s where a compact tail bag like this starts to make real sense.

The Essentials

The Klamath Tail Rack Pack is a low-profile, 4.0-liter (244 cubic inches) storage solution designed to sit neatly on the rear of the bike, working almost like a tank bag, but at the tail.

Built from rugged Bomb Shell™ vinyl-coated polyester with reinforced structure, it holds its shape well and stands up to hard use. The zipper-less clamshell design allows for quick and easy access, while internal and external pockets help keep smaller items organized.

Mounting is simple and adaptable, with multiple attachment options that work across a wide range of motorcycles, racks, and even rear fenders.

On the Trail

The Klamath Tail Rack Pack has been part of our setup for quite some time, and it remains one of those pieces of luggage that simply works, and earns a permanent spot on the bike. The overall design remains the same as before, now updated with new materials and textures that give it a more refined feel.

For us, the most noticeable change from the previous version is on the top panel. The elastic bungee cord is gone, replaced by integrated pass-through slots that allow straps to be routed across the top. It’s a smart update that opens up more options for securing an extra layer, small accessories, or other lightweight items when needed.

The rest of the pack keeps the features that made it practical in the first place. Inside, the adjustable divider uses Velcro panels throughout, allowing for quick repositioning depending on what you’re carrying. The zippered mesh pocket under the lid also adds useful internal organization, especially for smaller items that would otherwise disappear into the bottom of the bag.

Final Thoughts

A compact, practical solution for keeping essentials organized and within reach. Ideal for riders who prefer quick access and a clean setup on short rides and full days out on the bike.
