Alpinestars AT-15 Back Pack

Some Pieces of Gear Earn Their Place by Staying Simple

The Alpinestars AT-15 Back Pack, part of the ALL TERRA line, became one of those pieces during our days in Oregon. It is a compact adventure backpack with a base capacity of 15 liters, expandable to 18 liters, designed to carry and organize the essentials a rider wants close during the day.

That size is part of its value. The AT-15 stayed small enough to ride with comfortably, especially when standing on the pegs or moving around the motorcycle, while still carrying the things we kept reaching for: wallet, glasses, sunglasses, snacks, hydration, documents, batteries, and small personal items. On longer days, having those pieces on the rider made stops easier and kept the motorcycle luggage closed until it was actually needed.

Hydration became one of the most useful parts of the setup. Depending on the day and the combination of gear, we sometimes carried the bladder directly inside the protection system and other times placed it in the backpack. The AT-15 is hydration-system compatible, with dedicated routing for the hose, and that flexibility made it easy to adapt the pack to the ride instead of forcing the ride to adapt to the gear.

The pack also connects naturally with the Tech-Air Off-Road system. Alpinestars includes a dedicated compartment for spare Tech-Air gas inflators, a small detail that makes sense during extended off-road trips. When the airbag system is part of the riding setup, keeping spare canisters organized and protected becomes part of the larger safety routine.

The construction feels focused on use rather than show. The AT-15 uses reinforced 900D material in high-wear areas, a structural back panel shaped for riding stability, ergonomic shoulder straps, compression straps, and a magnetic chest lock that is easy to secure. The MOLLE panel and multi-loop system add attachment points for small accessories, while the included rain cover gives the pack a practical layer of weather protection.

On the bike, what stood out most was how little attention the AT-15 asked for. It sat close to the back, stayed stable, and never felt like a loose object pulling at the shoulders. A small backpack can become annoying quickly if it moves around, catches wind, or creates pressure points during the day. The AT-15 stayed quiet, which is exactly what we wanted from it.

It also worked well with the rest of the luggage system. The big load stayed strapped to the motorcycle. The AT-15 carried the day’s essentials on the body. That separation made sense every time we stopped for fuel, photos, water, or a quick route check.

The Alpinestars AT-15 Back Pack is a practical piece of adventure gear with a clear role. It carries enough, stays compact, and fits naturally into a riding day built around movement, dust, heat, and changing conditions. It is a small pack, but useful all day.
