Suzuki Offers First Rides on the New 2025 DR-Z4S Dual Sport
Suzuki is rolling out its all-new 2025 DR-Z4S, the long-awaited successor to the legendary DR-Z400S, and they want you to ride it first. Through their “Take It to the Streets” demo tour, riders can swing a leg over the updated dual-sport before it officially lands in dealerships this Spring.
The tour, kicking off this month (April 2025), stops at select dealerships nationwide. It’s a prime opportunity to get hands-on experience with the revamped machine and grill Suzuki staff about the changes.
And the changes are significant. The DR-Z4S isn’t just a facelift; it marks a major evolution for the platform first launched back in 2000. Key updates include:
- Redesigned 398cc Engine: Now featuring fuel injection.
- Modern Electronics: Ride-by-Wire throttle, ride modes, traction control, and switchable ABS.
- Chassis & Suspension: Updated frame, new suspension components, revised fuel tank, and improved ergonomics.
- Updated Features: New lighting and modern instrumentation.
This modernization comes with a price bump. The 2025 DR-Z4S lists at $8,999, a noticeable increase from the previous model’s $7,199 MSRP. Whether you’re a current DR-Z owner wondering about the upgrade or a rider seeking a capable, modern dual-sport, these demo rides offer a crucial chance to see if the new tech justifies the cost.
Initial tour stops announced include Pennsylvania, Oregon, West Virginia, Colorado, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Texas, and Michigan. Suzuki emphasizes that new dates and locations are being added weekly, with the tour extending beyond April.
