MV Agusta Regains Full Control, Splits from KTM
MV Agusta is officially back on its own. The Italian brand has confirmed that Art of Mobility S.A., a company controlled by the Sardarov family, has regained full ownership of the MV Agusta Group, marking its separation from KTM and its parent company, PIERER Mobility AG.
This move comes after a year of remarkable growth for MV Agusta, ensuring the brand remains unaffected by KTM’s ongoing financial restructuring. With a 116% increase in sales compared to 2023, MV Agusta sold 4,000 motorcycles in 2024, matching last year’s total sales by July. Additionally, the brand recorded its best-ever year in parts sales, boasting a 99% availability rate for models produced in the past seven years.
The company reassures its 219 global sales points, including 41 service centers, that operations will continue as usual, with expansion plans set to reach 270 locations by the end of the year. MV Agusta’s 20 non-European importers also remain integral to its growing distribution network.
CEO Timur Sardarov emphasized that this strategic shift strengthens MV Agusta’s future:
“Regaining full control of the company means we are now stronger and more focused than ever on delivering excellence. Over the past two years, MV Agusta has significantly reinforced its processes, systems, and workforce, laying the foundation for the extraordinary results achieved in 2024.”
MV Agusta’s headquarters in Varese will continue to be the hub for product development, production, sales, and after-sales services, ensuring the brand’s future remains independent and dedicated to its “Motorcycle Art” philosophy.
Stay tuned—MV Agusta’s next generation of motorcycles is already in the works.
